Listen to Ann Corcoran’s interview of author Dennis R. Blanchard on RadioSRQ.com. This two-part interview covers the gamut of hiking the Appalachian Trail, preparation, emotions, food, equipment and just about every facet of a long distance hike. The photo on the site harkens back to Gabby Hayes.
Each segment of the interview is about a half-hour long, so sit back, enjoy and take yourself onto the trail.

I am Stardust, I am in your book and as soon as I am back home in Mass. I will buy
your book. I am in Maine now. I hiked the A T again this year. It was all a flood of
Biblical Proportion. I will tell you all about it. Stardust
I enjoyed your book for the most part but I found it offensive in parts. I think you are a dirty old man oogling the young women you meet up with and who do you think you are making fun of overweight people? Not everyone is overweight from eating too much. You certainly did your share of it on the trail and I don’t think anyone makes fun of you for that. I may be overweight but I never would go into an eating establishment stinking. I think you need to be a little more tolerant of others. As I said, I’m overweight but my heart is just fine so who’s worse off?
