This just in: Three Hundred Zeroes has been
named a Finalist in the Travel/Travel Guide Category of the
2010
Next Generation Indie Book Awards !
It wasn’t the winner, but what this
means is it did come very close. In the next few weeks I’ll get the
specifics and Indie Book Awards committee allows me to put a medallion on
the book cover inidcating being a finalist.
It is wonderful to know that
a group of independent judges have found Three Hundred Zeroes worthy of
such an award. Thanks to all of you out there that have been supporting
me in this effort.
I’ll post more here once I get the complete details. The committee wrote me this morning just to let me know that the book was considered a finalist and indicated I’ll get more complete information in the next few weeks.
Thanks all…
Dennis, “K1”
Great job with the book I cant recall all the times I found myself laughing at your vivid imagery. I happened to find myself visiting at the hospital the other week and couldn’t help but looking at the IV stand and wondering how they could rig a bear bag from it. Even weeks after having finished the book the smile creeps back.
It is nice to find a hiking book that is written in such a manner that even the non hiker will enjoy it. I am not the fastest reader in the world and so when I set my copy down the next thing I know a day or so later my wife is telling me how much she enjoyed the book having read it in that span between she being a very fast reader.
Thanks for taking the time and energy to share your journey with me and so many others.
